Nice essay on why not to BCC people. He suggests BCC’ing yourself and then forwarding the copy to people you want to send it to. If your email program automatically keeps a copy in your "Sent" folder, you can just forward that copy to someone you want to see your email – I think this is much simpler and less error prone. The whole BCC: feels secretive and of questionable ethics. And yet forwarding a copy of the email doesn’t. Go figure :).
