Found an idea for helping with procrastination – though some of you students might find it useful. Basically, you set a time limit – like 8 minutes, with a timer, and you just do whatever you can on the project you are avoiding for the time limit. The time limit allows you to not worry about trying to do it all – you are just doing a small part of it. I suggest reading the article, I’m not doing it justice, but it seems like a good idea. I know I’ve done things like it with cleaning the garage. And I end up working way past the time limit because I enjoy the feeling of making progress.
